A Fine Finish (25 Sep)
The last game of the season saw a fine system in operation - some were fair enough, others a bit dubious! Potten End batted first and reached 207-6, with Peter Raeburn hitting 83 and Tom Moore a career best 57. Dunstable made steady progress, but fell behind the rate a bit and despite some lusty blows from the middle order, fell 22 runs short.Final defeat
Ok, so this didn't go quite as planned.... Harry won the toss and elected to bat, so far so good. Jimmy and Harry made a steady start but couldn't keep it going. Pete went first ball, but Michael came in and knocked a valuable 30-odd (forgot to bring scoresheet home so can't give exact numbers!). Innings eventually closed on 128 - not a bad score we thought, however the Downley openers had other ideas as they set about the bowling and reached the target without losing any wickets. It's criminal...
Despite the evidence suggested by the usual pre-match subterfuge by the visiting Jack of Diamonds, the only thing criminal
on display was their complete lack of ambition as they scratched around for 35 overs and never looked like geting near Potten End's
total of 226.

Vince's Fantasy Cricket
This went right to the wire with Dels Trotters hanging on to top place to win by just two points. In joint second were Vince and Brenda Warburton. To see the final standings, click here.Leaderboard updated 19th September
Watch out for a new event based on Potten End players next season....
Winning Weekend (19 Sep)
Two good wins in friendlies this weekend. Saturday's visit to Dunstable resulted in a 4 wicket win. Half centuries from Callum McCarthy and Jimmy Pickard saw us to the target of 170 with 4 overs to spare. The Sunday side had a big win at home to Gaddesden Row - details to follow.Champions!!!
The seconds went into the game at Prestwood knowing that a win would take us to the top. A fine bowling and fielding performance saw the hosts dismissed for just 84. Despite an early wobble or two, Matt Ginger (34no) and Lawrence Geere (15no) saw us over the line. Well done boys...Another shocking batting display (28 Aug)
The firsts somehow contrived to lose away at The Lee. Despite chasing a modest 129, we went from about 40-1 to 76 all out, an all too familiar story this season. The seconds had the upper hand against The Lee seconds, but could not break through the stubborn resistance of the visitors' middle order as they shut up shop very early and showed no ambition whatsoever.League washout, but Sunday side win (21 Aug)
Both league fixtures on Saturday fell victim to the weather as not a ball was bowled in either game. Sunday was a complete contrast, warm and sunny. We batted first and put on 213-7 from 35 overs, thanks largely to Callum McCarthy (91) in a welcome return to form. The Lewsey Farm reply started well enough, but their batting style seemed to lack the necessary patience to chase a decent total. The one exception was Faisal with a stubborn 44, but no-one else was able to hang around with him and the visitors were dismissed for 136
Herts Village Trophy defeat
Sorry for getting you all over-excited, but last night's game was actually the quarter final, with winners progressing to the finals day. In a very close game that had everything, smoke, flying ants, dark and a bit of rain, Flamstead scored the winning runs in the last over to triumph by 5 wickets.Into the FINAL!!!
The 1st team made it to the final of the league knockout competition with a win away at Widmer End & St Margarets. It was a very close affair, with the home side needing 3 to win from the last ball of the game but they could only manage two. The final will be against Downley at Holmer Green on Sunday 4th September, starting at 2:30pmDefeat at Tring (14 Aug)
The Sunday side lost by 7 wickets away at Tring. After struggling against a succession of slow/spin bowling, we could only manage 139-9 from 40 overs. A strong Tring batting line-up were able to knock them off in just under 30 oversDowned by Downley (13 Aug)
THe 1st XI lost by 57 runs at home to Downley on Saturday. The visitors were bowled out for 161 with 3 wickets each for Will Hill, Michael Gurney and Dave Raeburn. A familiar tale followed in the Potten End reply as we were dismissed for just 104, with Jimmy Pickard top scoring with 26.Rain spoils President's game(7 Aug)
Despite Raz's best efforts with ground preparation, only a dozen or so overs were possible in the much awaited match against the President's XI. Highlight of the day though has to be the curry kindly provided by the President (and supplied by "Chutneys" of Waterhouse St in Hemel) - at least no one had to run around after any over-indulgence!Ton-up Harry (6 Aug)
The firsts had a convincing 183 run victory over a poor Knotty Green side to clinch just their second league win this season. Skipper Harry Lee led the way with a century (100) with support from Will Hill(38) and Jimmy Pickard (32) to set a target of of 245 for 7 wickets. In reply KG gave little resistance and collapsed to 64 all out with Adam Hyland (5-9) and Will Hill (4-21) taking the wickets to give the Enders a much needed 25 points.Sunday boys win at Kimpton (31 Jul)
Half-centuries from Harry Lee and Tom Bevan set up a good victory away at Kimpton. Michael Gurney and Sam Davis both scored 29 and there were further useful contributions from Jimmy Pickard (26) and Tom Moore (23) as we put on a very decent total of 255-6 from 40 overs. The hosts made a very good start as the openers put on a century stand, but they couldn't maintain the momentum and were eventually bowled out for 209, with Tom Bevan picking up 4-34Another blank weekend in the league (31 Juy)
Firsts lost at home by 4 wickets to Monks Risborough, despite setting a decent total of 210 including 50 from Jimmy Pickard and 94 from skipper Harry Lee. The seconds suffered a heavy defeat away at Wendover, being bowled out for just 98 in reply to a daunting 260-5 from 40 overs by the home side.Another semi-final date....
Potten End made it 7 wins from 8 matches midweek with a 40 run win in the Herts Village Cup against a strong Boxmoor side. Battting first the Enders racked up 153 due mainly to a 86 run partnership between Michael Gurney(66) and Will Hill (25). In reply Boxmoor never got going even though PE had only 10 fielders, due to Peter Raeburn's 'Watergate' at home. Michael Gurney (3-11) and David Raeburn (1-15) were the pick of the bowlers leaving The Moor on 113 for 5
Contrasting fortunes
The firsts suffered another heavy defeat away at Cadmore End on Saturday, but the seconds recorded an excellent win against Cadmore End seconds. Star of the show was Michael Gurney with 5 wickets and 84 not out.Entertaining - definitely
A conference fixture away at Aldbury Entertainers on Sunday ended as a close run thing. Both teams struggled early on in their respective innings on a pitch that had endured a few downpours lately. The hosts ended on 135 from 35 overs, a few more than had looked likely early on. In reply, bothe PE openers were out for ducks, but a fine 66 from Pete Raeburn set us back on course and the target was reached in the penultimate over just as more heavy rain arrived.Another dismal day.... (10 Jul)
..and this time I do mean the weather, as a finely balanced game at home to Boxmoor was curtailed by heavy rain with PE needing 27 from 6 overs with 4 wickets in hand.A dismal day... (09 July)
... and I don't mean the weather! Firsts could only manage 110 as they lost by 5 wickets away to Ballinger. The seconds produced their worst batting performance for a while - dismissed for 60 chasing a very reachable total of 127Into the semis
The 1st team made it to the semi-finals of the league knockout competition with an emphatic home win against Div 1 side Lacey Green. Batting first we scored 174-9 from our 20 overs, Pete Raeburns top scoring with 59. In reply the visitors had a poor start and slumped to 14-4, and were not able to recover, ending on 55-8(effectively all out, as they only had 9 men!)What a bunch of Tossers! (03 Jul)
The Sunday side lost by 5 wickets at home to Full Tossers as the visitors passed our total of 181 with 2 overs to spare.Firsts defeated, 2nds win (02 Jul)
The firsts continued their recent run of poor form with a defeat away at league leaders Holmer Green. Chasing a total of around 200 they were dismissed for just 88. The seconds beat bottom team Prestwood by 52 runs in another good all round team effort.U15 run continues (03 Jul)
A win at Boxmoor on Sunday put the U15 side joint top with Berkhamsted with one game to go. See Jim's report via top menus..Another Jimmy Jug (03 Jul)
A magnificent spell of 7-17 from 8 overs of swing from JP destroyed Eaton Bray on Sunday. In reply to our 225 from 40 overs (Michael G 70 and a splendid 51 from Max Lutt in only his second senior game), the hosts were making steady progress until Jimmy stepped up...and they slumped to 142 all out.So near yet so far (02 Jul)
The firsts could only manage a losing draw at home to The Lee as they fell 4 runs short of victory despite 56 from Jimmy Pickard and 4-18 from 12 overs for Michael Gurney.Great win for 2nds at The Lee (02 Jul)
The seconds won by 106 runs at The Lee with a great all-round team performance. A half century for Kieran Turner and tight bowling all round were the highlights.Coronation Cup semi-final defeat
No details yet, but we were put out of the competition on Friday night...Into Quarter-Finals
The firsts won away at Little Gaddesden on Tuesday night to progress to the next stage of the League Cup. Raz's report available via top menu links...Comfortable win for Sunday side(19 June)
Visitors Flamstead suffered the worst possible start on Sunday, losing a wicket to the first ball of the game. At 4-3 things were not improving, but the middle order offered a bit of resistance and managed to drag things out into the 32nd over, eventually being dismissed for 123. In reply, steady progress was made throughout as Potten End reached the target with 5 overs to spare. Another decent knock from opener Derek Gower (38), 28 not out from Michael Gurney and 27 for Sam Davis were the highlights.League games rained off (18 June)
The firsts were in a good position at home to WESM with the visitors on 62-5 before a heavy downpour ended the days play. It was a similar story for the seconds away at Haddenham, as only 20 overs were possible before the rains came with our score on 96-5...2nds crash out of leage cup (14 Jun)
The 2nds visited The Lee on Tuesday for the League knock-out cup. The home side knocked up over 160 from their 20 overs, helped by a few first teamers we suspect! In reply we were always behind the rate and lost wickets steadily.Miserable weekend (13 June)
The firsts suffered a heavy defeat away at Downley, being bowled out for just 84. No league game this week for 2nds. Sunday's game with Roving Reporters fell victim to the weather.Losing draw for 1sts (6 June)
Visitors Knotty Green put on a big score of 266-6 with Potten End's reply of 217-7 falling a bit short. There was no game for the seconds this week, but the Sunday team had an emphatic win at Elstree, with Jimmy Pickard hitting another century.More progress in Coronation Cup
Potten End progressed to the next stage of the Coronation Cup with a victory away at Aston Clinton. The home side batted first and were dismissed for 88 with wickets shared between 4 bowlers. In reply we lost early wickets but a late rally between Harry Lee (12 no) and PAddy Ashton (24 no) saw us home with overs and wickets to spare.
6-a-side success for Potten End
Despite late withdrawals by a couple of teams, the 6-a-side tournament was a great success, resulting in a Potten End team defeating The Plough in the final. More details will follow once pictures and scorecards have been processed, but thanks to all who took part. The total raised by the days activities, including raffle and auction, was around £1000....click here for more on the day's events
Double defeat (30 May)
The firsts suffered a bit of a hammering at Monks Risborough as they were bowled out for only 101 chasing a target of 252. A closer game for the seconds at home to Wendover seconds as we set a decent target of 230, but the visitors made steady progress and hit the winning runs in the final over.Another Cup Win....
....this time in the Herts Village Trophy as we defeated local rivals Little Gaddesden.League double over Cadmore End (23 May)
Both teams recorded first league victories of the season. The firsts confortably knocked off a total of about 140 (I don't yet have exact details!) and the seconds bowled out their opponents for 65 to win by 112 runs. The Sunday team took a bit of a hammering at Boxmoor as the home team racked up 339-2 from 40 overs with a partnership of 279 between Townsend (166) and Cullinane(140 no). The Enders reply was a decent score (usually!) of 263-9 with Harry Lee top scoring on 81 aided by 67 from in-form Sam Davis and 60 from Terry Hawkridge.Coronation Cup victory (21 May)
Potten End travelled to Drayton Parslow for the first round of the Coronation Cup. The hosts put on 134-8 from their 20 overs and the Enders replied with 135-3 tanks to 61 no from Jimmy Pickard and 48 no from Jason Hawkridge.U15 match reports
Another win for the U15 side as they beat Watford Town on Wednesday night - see Fixtures&Results/Colts/U15 in main menuCalendar Boys update
In the end, only one brave (foolhardy?) soul actually volunteered on the day, no prizes for guessing who....No wins this week(15 May)
Both league teams had losing draws this week, as the firsts just failed to chase down 250 at Ley Hill, and the seconds were unable to make real inroads into the Ley Hill 3rds batting despite posting a decent target of 217. The Sunday team had a great game at Berkhamsted, with the hosts hittting the winning runs from the last ball of the game.League campaign starts with a defeat (7 May)
The firsts could only muster 137 as they suffered a five wicket defeat at home to Ballinger. The seconds game against the same club was called off by the opposition as they were unable to field a side. The Sunday team defeated Frogmore by 66 runs, thanks to 81 from Derek Gower and 46 from Jason Lane-Sellars.The Jimmy & Pete show (1 May)
5 wickets for the Krakken and a fine 62 not out from Jimmy P were the highlights of a great win away at Shenley on Sunday.Which is which? (30 Apr)
As a curtain-raiser to the league season we played a 1st v 2nd friendly. For a while it looked as though the underdogs may prevail as the firsts were restricted to 133 all out by some tight bowling and excellent fielding. However this could not be replicated as the 2nds lost early wickets and were never really able to threaten the total, despite a battling 38 from Lawrence Geere.Winning start for U15 team
The U15s had a great win away at Chorleywood. Click for match reportBring me sunshine...(24 Apr)
What a great weekend for cricket, and it's still only April. Two friendlies brought one win and one defeat. On Saturday the visitors were Shenley Village who recorded a 3 wicket win. Paddy Ashton top scored for PE with 45 and Jimmy Pickard picked up 4-29. Sunday saw another home game, this time against Eaton Bray. The PE innings was dominated by a belligerent 73 from skipper Jason Hawkridge, ably backed up by 47 from Jason Lane-Sellars. The total of 212-7 proved a bit too much and The visitors were bowled out for 166.Season starts... (17 Apr)
....with a defeat away to Little Gaddesden, although the winning runs were hit by a Potten End player!Jimmy celebrates winning the Ashes
Seems that Potten End boys got prominent places in many of the post-Ashes celebration shots. I'm sure it won't go to their heads. Here's one with our own Jimmy P just behind Matt Prior

Rain fails to stop play... (26 Sep)
A damp finish to the season on Sunday, any other time we might not even have started, and definitely wouldn't have finished! Nonetheless we struggled on gamely, but lost by 3 wickets to Dunstable. The final Saturday game resulted in a comprehensive 8 wicket win against Old Elizabethans, thanks to good knocks from Mike Gurney (76) and Paddy Ashton (55no), plus a triple wicket maiden from Trevor Bradford ("Ladlord's Jug" I hear you cry...)Sponsor a runner

Apparently the mathematicians out there have been hard at work and it seems neck and neck between Pete Raeburn and Michael Gurney for this years batting honours. Of course, this is only an unofficial update! Pete had the upper hand this weekend with 67 against Gaddesden Row on Sunday, with Mike hitting only(!) 46 in a 3 wicket win over the local rivals. The Saturday team had a comfortable win by 8 wickets away to Dunstable III, thanks to good knocks from Jimmy P (46 no) and Hayzee (40 no). Dave Raeburn made his customary late season bid for the bowling honours with 5-16 from 8 overs.Mixed weekend (12 Sep)
Potten End had to settle for one win and one defeat at the weekend. On Saturday they had a comfortable 69 run victory at Boxmoor after posting 185 for 8 wickets off 40 overs, with Jimmy Pickard (50) then Tom Moore (42) putting on a 67 stand for the sixth wicket with Harry Lee (38). Boxmoor were then bowled out for just 116 with the Enders using ten bowlers. On Sunday the Enders lost by just two runs at home to Shenley. Shenley were restricted to 127 for 8 on a slow pitch and even slower uncut outfield, with only eight bowlers being used this time. In reply PE finished 2 runs short on 125 for 8 despite 50 from Harry Lee and Adam Hyland (28).Double defeat (5 Sep)
A Saturday XI stepped in when Little Gaddesden were unable to fulfil their fixture away at Aldenham. Some very tight bowling restricted the scoring rate, and only Michael Gurney (61) and Adam Hyland (24) were able to make any real progress as we were bowled out for 134. This was probably about 30 runs short of a decent total on the day, and the hosts reached the target with overs to spare. The Sunday team hosted old rivals Chartridge. A familiar tale, as the total of 155 was a bit short of a par score on a good batting track. An enjoyable game nonetheless.
Hawkridge Challenge 2010
THE HAWKRIDGE CHALLENGE CUP Sunday 29th AugPECC v Jack OF Diamonds CC
Rain reduced this to a 25 over match, but this could not prevent Potten End retaining the trophy with a comfortable 48 run win.
Top 4 finishes for both league sides
Potten End finished the league season with a win and a defeat. The 1st X1 beat already relegated Challoners by 4 wickets with Michael Gurney taking 5 wickets as they were skittled for just 76. After several rain breaks the Enders got home on 80 for 6 to confirm 3rd place in Div 1. The 2nds lost away to Div 3 Champions Phoenix Old Boys by just 30 runs with skipper James Hayes getting 49, to give them a creditable 4th place finish with a very young and inexperienced side. All square in the battle of the Ends... (Aug 22)
A double header against Cadmore End saw the firsts lose a low scoring affair and the seconds recorded a resounding victory over their counterparts. The Sunday team were also victorious across the valley at Redbourn, with Pete Raeburn, Harry Lee and Michael Gurney all notching up half-centuriesWins for firsts and Sunday team, washout for seconds (Aug 15)
The firsts won a low scoring affair against Braddenham, whilst the seconds game away at Haddenham was a victim of the recent bad weather. The Sunday team recorded a victory away against a young Tring Park side.Enders win at Flamstead (8 Aug)
A late change of fixture resulted in a good win away at Flamstead on Sunday. Set 163 to win in 40 overs, and despite losing Jimmy P to an early run out, a stand of 123 between Pete Raeburn (90) and Derek Gower (41) set up a 4 wicket win.Heavy defeat for firsts, washout for seconds (Sat 7 Aug)
The firsts crashed to 91 all out away at Little Gaddesden and suffered a 4 wicket defeat. The seconds were in a strong position at tea against Ley Hill III, having posted 203-8 from 34 overs, but the heavens opened and flooded the outfield meaning that no further play was possible.2 league defeats but a win over the President's XI (2 Aug)
Quite a few players missing this week for various reasons, not least Matt's 18th party (by the look of a few of them on Sunday it was
a good do!). The firsts were defeated by 102 runs at home to table toppers Ley Hill and the seconds lost by 10 wickets away to
Ballinger. Sunday saw the annual game against a Presidents XI. Nice to see a few old faces returning, along with some not so old!
A thouroughly enjoyable game ended in a 52 run win for Potten End. See under Gallery sub-menu for pics of the day's events
Sorry Josh
Apparently I had transposed a cople of scores in the scorecard for the 2nd XI game away at Frieth on 22 May and young Master Hart was mistakenly given a duck. This has now been corrected. Nice to know that someone's looking.... sorry Kev T., you've just 'lost' 11 runs!2 wins and a draw (26 July)
The first team had to settle for a winning draw away at Lacey Green as the hosts never looked like chasing the target of 230 and finished on 91-7. The seconds struggled to beat 8-man Frieth, but managed to hang on for a 3 wicket win. Sunday's game away at Frogmore was a real cracker. A maiden century for Harry Lee was the highlight of Potten End's 252, but the hosts made a brilliant attempt to chase a win, falling just a few runs short in the penultimate over.Win for seconds, defeat for firsts (19 July)
Chasing a modest target of 133, the firsts lost at home to Holmer Green by 36 runs. The seconds had another good win away at The Lee, posting a decent total of 208 and bowling the hosts out for 136. Sunday saw the annual fun that is colts presentation day. When I receive details I will post them here...Cup run ends (16 July)
Potten End's run in the Herts Village Trophy came to an end against Great Gaddesden. After being put in to bat GG were initially pegged back to 32 for 1 after 6 overs but then managed to score 112 runs off the next 9 overs, due to some indifferent short pitched bowling and dropped catches. Plummer top scored with 72 runs with Jim Hart (2-19)off 4overs as the GG innings closed on 176 all out. In reply the Enders were handily placed at 47 for 0 after 6 overs but regular wickets and 3 run outs help to reduce them to 153 all out in the last over. Peter Raeburn (50) Callum McCarthy (38) and Harry Lee 30 (not out) was not enough to set up a home tie against Little Gaddesden in the quarter final as GG won by 23 runs in an entertaing match in difficult blustery condititions. Click here for scorecard.RAZ
Ton for Jimmy not quite enough.. (10 July)
After setting a big total of 250-6, including exactly 100 for Jimmy Pickard and 74 for Michael Gurney, the firsts had to settle for a winning draw as Prestwood clung on to finish on 155-8, having been 87-7 with 14 overs remaining. The seconds had a fine win against Prestwood seconds, winning by 8 wickets. Ian Williams top scored with 73 and Jason Lane-Sellars took 5-45.Sunday saw Boxmoor's batsmen in a hurry to see the World Cup Final, as they chased down 191 with 10 overs to spare.
Herts Village Trophy (09 July)
Last night (Thursday) we beat Bovingdon by 8 wickets in the HVT. Put in to bat by skipper Harry Lee, a good all round performance in the field led to Bovvy being bowled out for just 88. Adam Hyland 4-9 and Matt Ginger 3-19 were the pick of the bowlers. An opening stand of 69 in 9 overs by Jimmy Pickard(28) and Peter Raeburn(48 not out) saw the Enders off to a good start and they passed Bovingdons score after just 12.5 overs to set up a home tie in the next round with Great Gaddesden. Click here for scorecard.Firsts continue good run (04 July)
Another convincing win for the firsts against Waddesden by 36 runs, with Michael Gurney again starring with 66 runs and 4-45, backed up by 56 from Jimmy Pickard. Not such good news for the seconds as they slumped from 86-3 to 104 all out, losing by 6 wickets to Waddesdon II. The Sunday team beat the Full Tossers by 69 runs, thanks largely to a splendid 83 not out from skipper Jason Hawkridge.MG motors on....(27 June)
Another great weekend for Michael Gurney as he continues his excellent run of form with the bat. Michael hit 112 as the firsts beat Challoners away and followed it up with 94 on sunday at Eaton Bray in another high scoring victory. A dismal performance from the seconds, collapsing from 42-0 to 79 all out against league leaders Phoenix OB who then knocked off the runs in a mere 9 overs as the match finished before tea!Winning draw for seconds, defeats for 1sts and Sunday teams (20 June)
The 1sts team suffered a heavy defeat against Cadmore End, being bowled out for just 136 and the visitors knocked them off in just 21 overs. Good knocks from Derek Gower (65) and Paddy Ashton (78 not out) enabled the seconds to post a big score as they declared on 239-6, but were thwarted by the last pair as Cadmore End struggled to 109-9 to claim a draw. Sunday saw a new fixture against a strong Kings Langley side who racked up 200 to win by 34 runs.First win for U14s (18 June)
A good win for the U14s away at Tring Park on Thursday night. See under fixtures & results/colts/u14 sub-menu for full detailsWeekend treble (13 June)
A great trio of results as both league teams and the Sunday side recorded big wins. The firsts recovered from a shaky start away at Bradenham, losing the first 3 batsmen for single figures, but then a massive unbroken partnership (193 I think) between Peter Raeburn (121 no) and Anthony Fenn (60 no) produced a 7 wicket win. The seconds made certain of seeing the start of the football as they beat Haddenham seconds by 5 wickets with ten overs to spare, courtesy of some extremely friendly bowling and a very quick 72 from James Hayes. The Sunday side recovered from a shaky start to post a reasonab;e total of 177 away at Greenwood Park and then bowled the hosts out for 105.Mixed fortunes (7 June)
A narrow defeat for the 1sts, losing by 1 wicket at home to local rivals Little Gaddesden despite 67 no from Harry Lee and 6-28 for Jonny Turney. The seconds had a comprehensive win over Ley Hill thirds, bowling them out for 100 (Josh Hart 4-15) and knocking off the runs for the loss of only one wicket with skipper James Hayes hitting 71 no. The Sunday side lost by 7 wickets away at Studham (see Colin's report under fixtures & results)Undefeated weekend (23 May)
More merriment for the MG twins of Michael Gurney and Matt Ginger. Michael scored 43 on Saturday and 94 on Sunday, whilst Matt continued his good form with 63 no on Saturday. The seconds managed a rearguard action away at Frieth as we batted out our overs to secure a losing draw. A great first half century for James Bates and 6 wickets for Ian Williams were the highlights.Potten End triumph at six-a-side
The centenary six-a-side tournament took place on Sunday 30 May. 4 teams from Potten End and 4 guest teams participated in the all-day event, with the PEAS (Potten End All Stars) team defeating Frogmore in the final. A great day, excellently organised and run by Jason and the committee. A summary of the days results can be found under the Sunday results menu and some of the action pictures have been uploaded to the gallery section. Alternatively click here for scores and here for pictures.A damp Sunday (16 May)
Heavy drizzle caused several interruptions, but we managed to get a game in as Warners End reached a revised target to win the local derby.Win for firsts (15 May)
A good victory away at Holmer Green II with 40's from openers Callum McCarthy and Jim Hart backed up by 3 wickets each for Michael Gurney and Jim Hart.2nds defeated by The Lee(15 May)
A low scoring affair as the seconds were bowled out for 82 and The Lee lost six wickets in securing a victory. Highlight was all 6 wickets for skipper James Hayes.Well done Michael (8 May)
A first century for Michael Gurney as the Sunday team defeated Frogmore by 56 runs. A great knock, especially when Pete Raeburn's share of a 108 run partnership was just 30!First win for 2nds (8 May)
A great win for the seconds away at Prestwood. 50s for James Hayes and Paddy Ashton and 5 wickets for Chris Williams in a 102 run victory. Meanwhile the firsts went down by 51 runs at home to Prestwood.Easter Working Party
